The Water Treatment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective treatment and management of water resources. This position involves monitoring and maintaining water quality, operating treatment equipment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct regular testing of water samples to monitor quality and identify any contaminants.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of water quality tests and treatment processes for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to implement improvements in water treatment processes.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
- Assist in the training of new staff on operational procedures and safety measures.
What you\\\’ll do
- Based at our client\\\’s plant in Falkirk
- Operate and maintain the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
- Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
- Ensure compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times
Ideal experience
- Working with electrics for pump changes and resets.
- Experience of working with pumps and pipe work
- Someone with landfill or waterboard experience.
