Overview

The Water Treatment Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective treatment and management of water resources. This position involves monitoring and maintaining water quality, operating treatment equipment, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain water treatment facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct regular testing of water samples to monitor quality and identify any contaminants.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of water quality tests and treatment processes for regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement improvements in water treatment processes.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on operational procedures and safety measures.

What you\\\’ll do

  • Based at our client\\\’s plant in Falkirk
  • Operate and maintain the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards
  • Run advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants
  • Ensure compliance with company policy, processes, and procedures
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself at all times

Ideal experience

  • Working with electrics for pump changes and resets.
  • Experience of working with pumps and pipe work
  • Someone with landfill or waterboard experience.
