Technical Cleaning Operative

A1 jobs are seeking a Technical Cleaning Operative for one of our clients in Polmont. Summary As a Technical Cleaning Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in various environments. Reporting to the Facilities Manager, your role is essential in ensuring that all areas are safe and compliant with health regulations. Core skills in cleaning techniques and safety protocols are vital, while your premium driving skills may be required for transportation of equipment. Strong communication and customer service abilities will enhance your interactions with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering a positive working relationship. Responsibilities: * The primary role will be to provide support to the maintenance team on various cleaning tasks throughout the waste recycling operation. * Maintain a high level of cleaning of machinery with the intent to preserve company assets and related equipment. * Carry out high work to the applicable standards and regulations. * Machine cleaning LOTO procedures and controls are in place as required during production breaks and stoppages. * Work in restricted spaces when the need arises during maintenance shutdown work. * Actively involved in safety inspections and detections throughout the process. * Undertake in basic manual work such as removing and replacing machine guards and covers to clean affected areas of machinery. * Effective communication – keeping supervision and relevant parties aware and seeking advice and assistance when required. * Any other duty as may be required commensurate with the grading of the post and the skill of the post holder. * Ensuring that all processes are conducted within safe working guidelines as determined by the Engineering manager and health & safety officer. * Operate MEWP’s once trained to use the equipment in support of Engineers and other industrial cleaning operatives Qualifications * Strong communication skills in English * Proven customer service experience * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Valid driving license preferred * Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards * Experience in technical cleaning or related fields is a plus
