Role purpose

Delivery of a BBV‑controlled HS2 civils package, ensuring safe, compliant, programme‑driven execution in line with BBV systems, assurance processes and HS2 standards. This is a delivery‑led Project Manager role, responsible for governance, assurance, Temporary Works control, and interface management — not an office‑only PM.

Core responsibilities

  • Overall package leadership (subcontractor role)
    • Act as the single point of responsibility to BBV for delivery, compliance and coordination.
    • Lead site team (Site Manager, Supervisors, Engineers, TWC/TWS, Environmental support).
    • Represent The Client in BBV progress, coordination and assurance meetings.
  • Health, Safety & CDM leadership
  • Quality & assurance (non‑negotiable on HS2)
  • Change control & Field Change Requests
  • Temporary Works governance (MANDATORY competence)
    • Act as Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) for the package.
    • Ensure Temporary Works are:
      • correctly identified and classified
      • entered into the Temporary Works Register
      • designed, checked and approved
      • permitted and inspected prior to use.
    • Coordinate Temporary Works Designers, Checkers and Supervisors.
    • Ensure full compliance with BBV Temporary Works procedures (BS5975 aligned). TWC certification is mandatory for this role.
  • Lifting operations & cranage (preferred competence)
