We are seeking dedicated Recycling Operatives to join our environmentally conscious team. This role involves working in a dynamic waste management facility, contributing to sustainable recycling processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, processing, and handling recyclable materials efficiently and safely. Shifts 4 on 4 off days 4 on 3 off nights Duties * Collect and sort recyclable materials from designated areas, ensuring proper separation of different types of waste. * Operate machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, adhering to safety protocols. * Perform heavy lifting of recyclable items and materials as required, maintaining proper lifting techniques to prevent injury. * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area to ensure a safe working environment. * Assist with the loading and unloading of recyclable materials onto lorries or conveyor belts. * Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any maintenance needs or safety hazards. * Follow all health and safety regulations diligently during daily operations. * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and sustainability within the facility. Requirements * Previous experience or knowledge of mechanical systems is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided. * Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively as part of daily duties. * Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and perform manual handling tasks throughout shifts. * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in sorting recyclable materials accurately. * Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment with adherence to health and safety standards. * Reliability and a proactive attitude towards teamwork and operational responsibilities. * Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late finishes depending on operational needs
