Responsibilities:
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Support the implementation of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards, ensuring HR practices align with company policies and HSE guidelines.
- Values & Culture: Promote company values and contribute to a fair, inclusive, and high-performance culture through HR initiatives and employee engagement.
- Employee Relations & Casework: Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, supporting resolution in line with policies. Assist in formal HR processes including investigations, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with employment legislation.
- Records & Systems Management: Maintain accurate employee records (digital and paper), including absence tracking, and ensure data integrity within HR systems.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with recruitment activities including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, and onboarding logistics.
- Payroll & Benefits: Collaborate with payroll to ensure accurate documentation of compensation, benefits, and employment changes.
- Policy & Procedure Management: Support the implementation, monitoring, and regular review of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and relevance.
- Training & Development: Coordinate and support the delivery of training programs, workshops, and seminars, including occasional facilitation.
- Reporting & Analysis: Compile information for HR reports and analyse key metrics (e.g. absence data) to inform decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Wellbeing & Engagement: Contribute to planning and implementation of employee wellbeing initiatives and events, including the development of wellbeing policies and procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build effective relationships with internal teams and external partners such as training providers, recruitment agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Training: CIPD Level 5 – or working towards a CIPD qualification.
Experience: 3-5 years of HR experience.
Travel would be required regularly in our 4 Scottish sites and 1 North England site. 2 days per week at Cumbernauld as their base, 2 days at home and 1 day travel to one of our other sites – this may change depending on business need.
