A1 Jobs have an immediate need for a Fabrication/Machine Shop Supervisor to join our clients thriving team. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and motivate a skilled team of welders and machine operators. * Operate and specialise in conventional horizontal boring (e.g. SH75 Kerns Richard). * Use a variety of machine tools: lathe, milling machine, drill, etc. * Interpret mechanical drawings and work to precise engineering tolerances. * Carry out self-inspection throughout the manufacturing process. * Promote safe working practices and maintain clean, organised work areas. * Contribute to continuous improvement and help implement standard procedures. Essential Requirements: * Proven experience as a machine operator with supervisory responsibilities. * Skilled in horizontal boring and confident in reading technical drawings. * Positive, team-focused attitude, promoting collaboration and quality. * Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and performance. Desirable Skills: * Experience operating a Kerns Richard SH75 or similar boring machine. * Valid counterbalance forklift licence. * Experience using overhead cranes for loading/unloading. * Familiar with machine shop safety standards and procedures
