A1 Jobs is currently looking for experienced Bench Hand Joiners for our client in Cumbernauld. Our client is a well-established joinery company specialising in high-quality, bespoke fit-out and refurbishments. With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and attention to detail, they work across a wide range of projects including cabinetry, furniture, doors, windows, staircases, and custom one-off commissions. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join our skilled workshop team.
Job Role
- Producing high-quality joinery items from drawings, specifications, and templates
- Working confidently with both hand tools and woodworking machinery
- Assembling and finishing bespoke joinery products to a high standard
- Selecting appropriate materials and ensuring accuracy in measurements and cutting
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
- Collaborating with the team to meet project deadlines
Essential Skills/Experience Required
- Proven experience as a bench hand joiner (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong craftsmanship and excellent attention to detail
- Competence in using woodworking machinery (e.g., saws, planers, routers, spindle moulders)
- Good knowledge of solid timber and sheet materials
- A proactive approach and pride in producing quality work
