Location: AWE Aldermaston

Salary: £21.28 (PAYE) & £1.71 Second Tier Payment and £0.75 Retention payment on all hours worked. Lodge payment available and 10% of base rate payable if in Lodgings.

Contract Type: 1 year contract

Working: 11 day Fortnight.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Industrial Electrician to join our team. You will play a key role in installing, maintaining, repairing, and improving electrical systems across our project division to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install electrical systems and components in industrial settings (e.g., factories, warehouses, processing plants).
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults across control panels and site infrastructure.
  • Install, upgrade, and commission electrical systems, including motors, sensors, and PLC controlled equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Respond to breakdowns quickly to minimise downtime.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and parts usage.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or heavy engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with PLCs, motors, drives, and industrial control systems (advantageous).
  • Good problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred).
  • CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent 2391 testing & inspection qualification (desirable).
