A.W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers, LGV Drivers and C+E Drivers to join our professional transport team based at our Meriden depot.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering £15.00 per hour, a £10.00 tax-free daily meal allowance, guaranteed weekly hours, 28 days annual holiday entitlement, a salary sacrifice pension scheme, modern Scania vehicles, and consistent Monday to Friday work throughout the year.

The Role

What's Involved?

  • Monday to Friday day shifts
  • Typical start times between 05:00 and 06:00
  • Average shift length approximately 12 hours
  • Nationwide bulk haulage operations
  • Operating modern articulated vehicles and walking floor trailers

  • Full training available for suitable candidates

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence with LGV C+E (Class 1) entitlement
  • Minimum 1 year's Class 1 driving experience
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network
  • Strong understanding of UK and EU Drivers' Hours Regulations
  • Bulk haulage experience beneficial but not essential
  • Maximum bodyweight of 22 stone due to fall-arrest gantry safety systems
