A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products has a vacancy for an experienced and qualified Mobile LGV/Plant Mechanic. All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.

The position will include carrying out routine maintenance on our mobile plant, including shredders and chippers, as well as our fleet of LGV tractor units and trailers. The position will be based at our Tilbury site, but you will spend a significant amount of time on the road.

The ideal applicant will have experience in maintaining LGVs/Plant equipment whilst making the best use of time and resources. Hours of work are negotiable, but worked during mainly dayshift, and will include working on some Saturdays.

Ideally, you will come from a time-served LGV background, having attained appropriate City & Guilds, NVQ, or BTEC qualifications. More importantly, you will have experience working in an LGV workshop or as a mobile fitter. Holding an LGV C+E licence and having welding experience would be advantageous.

The Tilbury site is located at Station Approach Road, Off Fort Road, Tilbury, RM18 8UL.
