Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Southend-On-Sea for an Assistant Estimator/Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will assist with cost estimations, quantity take-offs, and preparation of tenders. Responsibilities include analysing project specifications, collaborating with senior member of staff, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and monitoring project costs. The role involves contributing to ensuring the accurate financial planning and efficient management of construction projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in quantity take-offs, material costing, and tender preparation
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant regulations
• Strong analytical and numerical skills for cost analysis and budgeting
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effectively working with clients, contractors, and teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and ideally, construction estimation software
• Ability to work on-site and meet deadlines
• Formal training, degree, or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is advantageous
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under the supervision of senior professionals
