GV Class 1 Driver (Trunking) Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday Start Times: Between /18:00 and 02:00 (flexible start window) Employment Type: PAYE We are currently seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver to join our team, specialising in trunking operations. This role involves transporting goods between depots and distribution centres, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and compliance. This position is ideal for drivers looking for consistent routes, minimal manual handling, and a structured work pattern. Key Responsibilities * Carry out Class 1 trunking runs between depots, hubs, and distribution centres * Operate articulated vehicles (C+E) safely and professionally * Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed on time * Conduct pre- and post-shift vehicle inspections (walkaround checks) * Safely couple and uncouple trailers as required * Ensure loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations * Complete all relevant paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately * Communicate effectively with transport planners and depot teams * Adhere to Driver Hours regulations, WTD rules, and all road safety laws Skills
