This role suits someone with practical knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) machines, such as Pick and Place systems, who's comfortable working with small, fine-pitch components. Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and maintain SMT machines (Pick and Place) for efficient, accurate PCB assembly, including small and fine-pitch components
  • Perform hand soldering and assembly of through-hole and surface mount components (PCBA)
  • Build wiring looms and harnesses to specification
  • Carry out full box builds, from sub-assembly through to finished unit
  • Work to IPC standards and internal procedures to ensure consistently reliable results
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and output
  • Maintain accurate production records and follow established workflows
  • Collaborate closely within a small, focused team where you'll know everyone by name
Skills & Experience We're Looking For
  • Practical experience with SMT/Pick and Place machines, including handling of small components
  • Good soldering skills (both through-hole and surface mount)
  • Experience with loom/harness assembly and box build processes
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, test equipment, and microscopes for fine-pitch work
  • Computer literacy for machine programming, data entry, and documentation
