The ideal construction sales candidate will have the following key skills and experiences;
Essential:
- Proven field sales and business development experience within the construction plant, hire plant, plant rental, plant hire industries- you must have experience of selling onto construction sites
- Good experience of and ability to sell technical products eg construction machinery, heavy plant hire machinery, heavy vehicle hire, Material handling equipment, FLT, etc to the construction site industries
- Experience of selling construction plant equipment / hire plant equipment such as powered access equipment, access platform machinery, lifting operations, cranes, scissor lifts, telescopic handlers, glass vacuum handlers, plant lifting machinery, MHE, FLT, etc or very similar
- A full driving licence and able and willing to travel extensively in this role as you will be covering the Southern and London region of the UK 4 days per week and 1 day in Aylesbury office for sales meetings or via Teams meetings working from home
- Excellent communication, rapport and negotiation skills and the ability to build new relationships with clients, develop existing accounts, identify new opportunities and follow up leads
The purpose of this sales role is to develop new and existing sales of plant equipment into key accounts within the South of England, mainly London areas. This field sales role would suit an experienced sales account manager with good experience of selling heavy construction plant equipment or good plant hire / plant rental sales experience onto construction sites. This role would suit a construction sales rep who has enjoys the commuting field sales lifestyle and is looking for the next challenge in their business development career.
