A highly motivated electro-mechanical engineer is required for our award-winning Sunday Times Fast Track 100 business engineering client based in Oldham. In return, there is an excellent salary circa £35k - £40k+ dependent on experience plus excellent benefits including annual company bonus, generous holiday, healthcare, and an excellent pension scheme in an established reputable company.

The ideal electro-mechanical engineer will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Good electrical mechanical, electro-mechanical engineering experience - ability and experience in interpreting and reading hydraulic diagrams, engineering drawings, electrical diagrams, and systems and controls.
  • Engineering qualifications in the electro-mechanical field, electronics, electrical mechanical, electro-mechanical, engineering fields.
  • Electrical engineering experience within the automotive, agricultural machinery, plant equipment industry would be advantageous.
  • Maintenance, service, repair, fault finding experience of large vehicles, heavy plant machinery, vehicle plant, basic petrol, diesel engines or generators, agricultural machinery, large and small machines or similar equipment.
  • Auto electricians from car manufacturers would be of distinct interest.
  • Ex-forces service maintenance engineers, REME technician engineers, RE plant operator engineers with good service and maintenance experience of plant, trucks, tanks, heavy plant equipment, fleet of vehicles, would be of distinct interest.

The electrical mechanical engineer will be responsible for the diagnosis and rectification of plant and electrical equipment defects. This is an electrically biased engineering role which requires reading and understanding of electric wiring diagrams and the hands-on maintenance, diagnosis, fault finding, and repair of electrical systems. There is a small team of 4 and this role is a more senior role in the R&D department, so would suit a team player and motivator, someone who is looking to develop into a supervisor role in their career.
