A motivated Electrical Technician, trainee E&I Engineer is required for our top tier COMAH specialist engineering. In return there is an excellent salary package dependant on skills and experience plus overtime available and excellent benefits including a large annual company bonus, generous holidays, an excellent 10% contributory pension scheme and gym allowance in a well-established reputable growing company.
This exciting electrical technician role would suit a qualified electrical engineer with experience of low voltage and electrical maintenance within production engineering, process plant, process engineering or live site industries. Electrical maintenance technicians with experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy, water, utilities, nuclear, hazardous live sites and refinery process plant industries would be of distinct interest.
The ideal Electrical Technician will have the following skills and experience:
- Good electrical maintenance, electrician experience worked as an electrical engineer, electrical technician, electro-mechanical technician, electro-mechanical engineer roles or similar ideally in Plant, Production, large production process plant or high risk industry.
- Engineering qualifications apprenticeship trained, NVQ level 3, ONC in Electrical, HNC electrical, or electro-mechanical qualifications.
- Low voltage experience - essential.
- True willingness and long term commitment to be trained and developed on instrumentation and high voltage.
- Maintenance experience within the chemical, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, oil and gas, energy, water, utilities, nuclear, hazardous live sites and refinery process plant, plant breakdowns or similar live/process plants.
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle to get to remote site daily (site based role).
- Full eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship both now or in future.
- Experience/knowledge of DSEAR/ATEX regulations, HV, High Voltage electrical systems, HV pressure lines is desirable but can be trained.
Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, the purpose of this I&E maintenance technician's role is to carry out corrective (non-routine) and preventative (routine) electrical & instrumentation maintenance, modifications and assisting operations at the production facilities.
