A highly motivated electrical maintenance engineer is required for our award winning Sunday Times Fast Track 100 business engineering client based near Aylesbury, commutable from Oxford. In return there is an excellent salary circa £35k - £40k+ dependent on experience plus excellent benefits including annual company bonus, generous holiday, healthcare and an excellent pension scheme in an established reputable company.

The ideal electrical maintenance engineer will have the following experience and skills:

  • Good electrical engineering experience - ability and experience in interpreting and reading hydraulic diagrams, engineering drawings and electrical diagrams
  • Engineering qualifications in maintenance, service, electrical, electro-mechanical engineering fields - level 2 engineering or level 3 engineering or above ideally
  • Service experience of large vehicles, heavy plant machinery, basic petrol, diesel engines or generators, large and small machines or similar equipment
  • Previous electrical maintenance, installation, service and repair experience of plant equipment, plant machinery, plant engineering is desirable but can be developed if the above engineering experience and skills are evident
  • Ex forces service maintenance engineers, REME technician engineers, RE plant operator engineers with good service and maintenance experience of plant, trucks, tanks, heavy plant equipment, fleet of vehicles, would be of distinct interest

The service engineer will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and service of the market leading plant equipment on site and the installation of the safety and controls systems to the control panels. You will also be responsible for the preparation of the award winning vehicles for sale to customers and exhibitions and the fleet so you must have excellent attention to detail to ensure the products are in excellent clean and presentable condition for the market.

Some key responsibilities of this maintenance service engineer role include:

  • Diagnostic, inspection, part identification, testing, service and repair, rectification of faults of electrical machinery at the depot
  • Installation of safety controls systems and control panels on plant equipment
  • Preparation of vehicles, plant machinery for sale, exhibition, market, customers and fleet
