Description
Are you an experienced injection moulding or extrusion technician who takes pride in producing components to the highest quality standards and keeping production running at its best?
At A-SAFE, we design and manufacture world-leading polymer safety solutions that protect people, assets and infrastructure across the globe. Our products are trusted by global blue-chip organisations including Coca-Cola, BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon and Heathrow Airport - and our Production Technicians are central to making that happen.
Based at our site in Elland, this is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who knows injection moulding and extrusion inside out and takes real pride in producing components that meet the highest quality standards - every time.
How you will make an impact:
  • You will start up and monitor injection moulding machines, ensuring components are produced to the required quality standards.
  • You will start up and monitor extrusion lines in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • You will optimise all processes in line with SOPs to maintain efficiency and output quality.
  • You will conduct injection mould tool changes as required.
  • You will carry out minor reactive maintenance on machinery and tools, including oil levels and general cleanliness.
  • You will perform initial QA/QC checks on finished components using ancillary gauges and equipment, interpreting results and taking corrective action where needed.
  • You will ensure health and safety guidelines are always adhered to.
  • You will complete and submit all production and performance-related documentation in line with SOPs.
  • You will maintain 5S standards and ensure housekeeping is always of the highest standard.

What we are looking for:
  • Extensive injection moulding or extrusion process experience.
  • The ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • The ability to identify and diagnose the root cause of extrusion and moulding faults.
  • Willingness to work on a shift basis.
  • A solid understanding of manufacturing control processes.
  • A clear understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

You will also bring:
  • A hands-on, proactive approach - you take ownership of your area and the quality of what comes from it.
  • A quality-first mindset with strong attention to detail when completing checks and documentation.
  • The confidence to take corrective action when something isn’t right.
  • A calm, methodical approach when troubleshooting equipment or process issues.
  • A collaborative, team-first attitude that supports those around you.

Desirable experience:
  • A recognised certificate within injection moulding.
  • NVQ Level 3 Mould Tools and Processes.
  • Experience with 6-axis robot programming.

Why you will love working with us:
You will join a fast-paced, technically innovative manufacturing environment where your expertise makes a real and visible difference every day. Alongside a varied and challenging day-to-day, you will be part of a business that genuinely invests in its people through training, development and internal progression.
