Are you a creative leader who thrives on raising the bar, challenging thinking and staying hands-on in the work - someone who brings energy and creative conviction to everything you produce? As a Creative Head at A-SAFE, you'll bring energy, direction and creative authority into our growing in-house studio. This is a leadership role without line management. You won't have direct reports, but you will lead from the front, set the creative direction while staying hands-on in the work you deliver. Someone who can raise the ambition of the team, challenge thinking, and introduce a step change in how we approach creative across the business.

You'll join a strong, established studio of talented designers and content creators already delivering a high volume of work. What we're missing is a clear creative leader - someone to set the bar, push ideas further, and bring a stronger, more confident creative voice to everything we produce. Based at our UK headquarters in Elland, you'll help shape how A-SAFE shows up globally, influencing everything from product launches and campaigns to brand systems and storytelling.

How you will make an impact:

  • You'll take ownership of creative direction across all studio output, ensuring a consistent, high-quality standard.
  • You'll push ideas further by challenging briefs, refining concepts and encouraging stronger creative thinking across the team.
  • You'll act as the final point of creative sign-off for key projects, setting clear expectations around quality, craft and execution.
  • You'll lead the development of creative concepts for campaigns, product launches and brand initiatives.
  • You'll translate commercial and product briefs into clear, engaging and effective creative.
  • You'll stay hands-on in delivery - contributing to design, concepts, layouts and execution where needed.
  • You'll inspire and mentor a multidisciplinary team of around ten creatives, helping individuals grow in confidence and capability.
  • You'll provide clear, constructive feedback that improves both the work and the individual.
  • You'll drive a shift towards a more idea-led, proactive creative culture, bringing pace, energy and momentum into the studio.
  • You'll work closely with the Marketing Studio Manager and partner with marketing, product and commercial teams to align creative with wider business objectives.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in a senior creative role within an agency, studio or brand environment.
  • A strong graphic design background, with the ability to lead by example and contribute hands-on to high-quality work across multiple formats.
  • A multidisciplinary mindset - comfortable working across campaigns, branding, digital and content.
  • A track record of improving creative quality and raising output standards.
  • Experience leading or mentoring creative teams, helping individuals develop and grow.
  • Strong conceptual thinking, with the ability to push ideas further and move beyond basic execution.
  • The ability to move confidently between concept development and hands-on execution.
  • A strong understanding of how to balance creative quality with pace and delivery demands.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates both creative thinking and strong craft.

You'll also bring:

  • Energy, pace and a proactive, can-do mindset.
  • The confidence to be opinionated in the right way - challenging and pushing work further while staying constructive, engaging and respected by others.
  • A natural instinct to raise standards and expectations through how you work and lead.
  • The ability to bring out the best in others through coaching and support.
  • Commercial awareness, aligning creative decisions with business needs.
  • Curiosity and drive - always looking to improve both the work and the team.

Why you'll love working with us:

You'll have real ownership of creative direction within a global brand - the freedom to bring ideas, challenge thinking and make a visible impact. A strong, capable team is already in place, ready to be developed and pushed further, and in a fast-paced environment you'll see your work come to life quickly. This is a genuine opportunity to shape how A-SAFE shows up across the world. As the creative authority in the studio, you'll operate as a subject-matter expert at leadership level - influencing senior stakeholders, including board members and our joint CEO’s, and helping define the global brand. It's a role built on autonomy, ownership and the chance to put your stamp on a growing creative discipline.
