Join to apply for the IoT Product Manager role at A-SAFE GROUP. Location: Office in Elland, West Yorkshire (5 Days per week).
Take the lead on connected product innovation. We’re looking for an up-and-coming Lifecycle Product Manager – IoT to own the roadmap and performance of our digital safety products - from embedded firmware and smart sensors to next-gen communication systems. You’ll be the driving force behind improving our current product portfolio and bringing future IoT solutions to life. Working closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Product teams, you’ll make sure everything we launch is technically sound, commercially viable, and built to global compliance standards.
This is a high-impact role, perfect for someone with 1-2 years hands-on experience in Product Management and Industrial IoT - ready to step up, shape strategy, and take greater ownership across the full product lifecycle.
As a IoT Product Manager, You Will:
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and manage the product roadmap for our IoT and digital safety technologies, including embedded firmware, sensor systems, and communication protocols. Align roadmap priorities with business goals, helping transition traditional products into connected safety solutions through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Technical & Lifecycle Management: Own the performance, maintenance, and continuous improvement of in-market IoT products. Monitor real-world product data to spot opportunities, detect technical issues, and drive product enhancements. Set up and manage a structured feedback loop with customers, sales teams, and technical support to gather insights, identify pain points, and capture enhancement ideas. Assess incoming feedback using clear criteria like technical feasibility and commercial value, deciding what should move forward into development. Translate validated feedback into detailed product requirements and work closely with engineering and firmware teams to scope and deliver improvements. Define specifications for new features, firmware updates, or sensor integrations, ensuring everything is traceable from concept to launch. Lead cross-discipline teams across hardware, firmware, and software to ensure all inputs are reflected in planning, compliance, and release activity.
- Cross-Functional Delivery: Serve as the link between Engineering, Commercial, and Operations to ensure all product developments are robust, manufacturable, and aligned with compliance needs. Support product launches with technical documentation, internal enablement, and coordinated go-to-market planning.
- Governance & Standards: Ensure all IoT and digital products meet the relevant certification standards for connectivity and embedded systems. Promote strong product governance by managing documentation, engineering change requests, and compliance validations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, and Operations teams to provide insight, training, and materials for digital product lines. Share regular updates and strategic recommendations with senior product leadership.
About You:
You’re early in your Product career but already showing real promise. Maybe you’ve had a year or two in a Tech Product Manager or Assistant role and you’re ready to take on more responsibility and grow. You’ve got a genuine interest in how hardware and software come together to solve real-world problems. Terms like firmware, sensors, and connected systems don’t scare you - in fact, they probably spark your curiosity. You’re comfortable digging into technical detail, but you also get the bigger picture. You can translate what engineers are saying into something a customer or stakeholder would understand, and you enjoy being the person that connects the dots between teams.
Ideally, you’ve had some exposure to compliance or certification (ISO, CE, FCC, that kind of thing), and you’re keen to deepen that knowledge. If you’ve come across product costing or dabbled in financial modelling, even better - but it’s not a dealbreaker. You’re collaborative, curious, and motivated to make an impact. Most of all, you’re ready for a role where you can roll up your sleeves, learn fast, and help shape what’s next.
