Are you the kind of project coordinator who thrives on keeping complex activity moving, removing blockers and making sure nothing slips through the cracks? At A SAFE, our Test by Design function plays a critical role in proving the performance, safety and reliability of our products before they reach customers worldwide. As a Project Co-ordinator, you’ll be the central coordination point that keeps our testing programme running smoothly, bringing together people, materials, schedules and information to ensure testing happens safely, efficiently and on time. This is a hands-on, site-based coordination role within a live test environment. You’ll be in the thick of the action, working closely with engineers, operations and project teams to make sure everything is ready when it needs to be.
How You Will Make An Impact
- You’ll build, maintain and manage an accurate test schedule that aligns with NPD plans and on-site capability.
- You’ll act as the primary coordination link between Test by Design, NPD (R&D) and Operations, ensuring the right materials, components and fixtures are available at the right time.
- You’ll proactively progress chase actions, dependencies and deliveries to prevent delays to testing activities.
- You’ll work closely with engineers to confirm test readiness, equipment availability and potential bottlenecks.
- You’ll provide clear updates on test readiness, risks and schedule impacts to key stakeholders.
- You’ll support wider site coordination tasks, including scrap movements, facilities requests, health & safety actions and equipment issues.
- You’ll help prepare for customer and visitor visits, ensuring test areas and documentation are ready.
- You’ll maintain accurate tracking documentation, schedules and action logs to support visibility and reporting.
- You’ll capture data relating to work allocation, time spent on projects and capacity impacts to support continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience in a project coordination, administration or expediting role, ideally within a technical or operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the confidence to progress chase, prioritise and keep multiple activities moving at once.
- The ability to adapt quickly as site priorities change day to day.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work across engineering, operations and support teams.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and comfort maintaining schedules, trackers and documentation.
- A willingness to take on varied coordination and operational tasks to support the wider function.
You’ll Also Bring
- A proactive, hands-on approach—you enjoy being visible on site rather than coordinating everything remotely.
- A solutions focused mindset and the confidence to flag issues early and drive resolution.
- The ability to influence others and keep actions moving without direct authority.
- A calm, organised approach, even when priorities shift or multiple demands compete for attention.
- Curiosity and a desire to understand how things work so you can improve coordination and flow.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to a test, laboratory, engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Familiarity with NPD or NPI processes and project readiness stages.
- An understanding of operational or manufacturing workflows.
- Experience supporting site-based coordination, logistics or facilities related tasks.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
You’ll join a fast paced, highly technical environment where no two days are the same. This role gives you real responsibility and visibility from day one, working alongside engineers, supporting innovation delivery and helping remove the obstacles that slow progress. If you enjoy being an enabler, keeping complex operations moving and making a tangible impact through strong coordination, this role offers variety, challenge and the opportunity to grow within a global, innovative organisation.
Benefits
- A subsidised on-site gym, available for all colleagues.
- Flexible start and finish times to fit around you and your lifestyle.
- Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and NICU pay.
- 25 Days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy more.
