Our company A.R.Richards Ltd, is located over two sites in Ternhill, Market Drayton, Shropshire with the agricultural based in Norton In Hales. We offer our services throughout Shropshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, the Midlands, and Mid North Wales, with the ability to cater much further afield on request. A.R.Richards Ltd, was established in as a Plant Hire & Agricultural Contracting Business. We offer a comprehensive range of services and products to the agricultural, construction and waste industry.
We are looking to recruit enthusiastic, energetic professional HGV drivers for our class 1 and class 2 fleet.
Outline of role:- Class 1 roles consist of Flatbed, Walking Floor, Skip Lorry & Trailer, Curtainsider & Tipper, Possibility of nights out;
- Class 2 roles consist of Chain lifts, Hook Arm/RORO, Grab/Tipper, HIAB & Eurobins Lorries;
- Be able to conduct mandatory pre use, during and post checks & report any defects as applicable;
- Ability to interact with customers & the general public;
- A detailed understanding of Drivers Hours & the Working Time Directive, traffic laws & regulations;
- Completing necessary paperwork/documentation accurately, including waste & delivery notes, using a PDA (personal digital assistant) system for job completion;
- Assist in loading, securing & unloading;
- Adhere to company driving policy & procedures;
- Manual handling, working at height & banksman duties;
- Collecting, convey & deliver numerous waste streams & products;
- Willing to undertake familiarisation training on different company assets;
- Adhere to delivery schedule & routes whilst adhering to a high level of professionalism & customer service;
- Ability to work safely;
- Taking pride in company assets ensuring they are cleaned, maintained, roadworthy in accordance with both statutory requirements, company policy & procedures.
Dayshift - Monday to Friday. Timings may vary & every other Saturday hrs (Hours maybe subject to change based on work commitments).
Salary:Potential earning of approx. £38,000 per annum.
