A Leading Cost & Engineering Consultancy is looking for Quantity Surveyors to join their UK commercial team. The main objective of the role is to deliver commercial and contract management services for an assigned regulated client.
You will:
- Deliver contract management throughout the lifecycle of clients' construction or infrastructure projects.
- Advise client Project Managers on NEC contractual matters.
- Deliver post contract administration of NEC contracts, early warnings, compensation events and defects for live projects.
- Deliver pre contract creation of NEC contracts, tendering documentation and procurement strategies for new projects.
- Monitor and report on the commercial position for your projects.
- Support Senior Quantity Surveyors to ensure that your client receives a first class service.
- Ensure projects are compliant with contractual terms and achieve the clients' objectives.

Providing commercial expertise for a number of regulated clients nationally, delivering a portfolio of nuclear and utilities projects and contracts. You will be assigned to a client and embedded within their team, focusing on providing pre and post contract management of NEC contracts. Each contract with a client lasts on average 3-5 years, however there is the option to move to other clients to aid career progression.

Our client is looking for Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to speak with experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression. You will have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience across any infrastructure sector for any consultancy, client organisation, main contractor or subcontractor. Must have experience of delivering NEC contracts, and in particular of managing early warnings, compensation events and defects for live projects. Must have client facing experience with the ability to offer advice and guidance to senior stakeholders on complex commercial matters. Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree.
