A Top 10 Main Contractor is looking for a Procurement Manager and Senior Buyers to join their team based in the Glasgow office. The main objective of the role is to support the delivery of one of the country's largest new major infrastructure projects.
Procurement Manager:
- Manage the day to day procurement of materials and subcontracts for the project.
- Negotiate major materials and manage the tender process for subcontract packages.
- Define and implement procurement processes and procedures.
- Manage stakeholder requirements, building strong relationships with operations and commercial.
Senior Buyer:
- Support a Procurement Manager in delivering various project procurement strategies.
- Manage the day to day project procurement of materials and subcontracts.
- Manage the tender process for subcontract packages.
- Work with project teams to deliver procurement requirements.
- Ensure savings, rebates and compliance are achieved in line with project strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3+ years strategic procurement experience across any large complex construction or infrastructure contractor.
- Procurement Managers must have strong subcontract/strategic procurement experience, involving some team management.
- Senior Buyers must have some strategic procurement experience, with some experience of managing large complex material packages; some subcontracts would be beneficial.
- All candidates must have strong stakeholder management experience with a track record of facing off to challenging senior internal stakeholders; any external stakeholder management would be desirable.
