You will be part of a leading function with a strong pipeline of regional projects stretching out over the next 10+ years. Our client has a strong track record of providing training and development opportunities, as well as strong future progression pathways.
Part of an alliance, delivering a major infrastructure upgrade project valued at £300m-£400m. Delivering a portfolio of complex ground engineering projects including geotechnical works focused on soil stabilisation, water retention, and piling works. You will be part of a commercial team of 20 managing the delivery of packages on the project for our client.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the commercial strategy for a large section of a major infrastructure project in East Anglia.
- Deliver the agreed commercial strategy and be accountable for the profitability of a major project section.
- Lead and develop a small commercial team on the project.
- Monitor projected costs to completion, proactively monitoring cash flow and valuation plans throughout.
- Build and manage relationships with the customer, subcontractor, and other department stakeholders.
- Ensure contract variations are identified, valued, and turned into agreed variation orders.
- Manage the full end-to-end subcontract tender process and awarding of subcontract orders.
- Lead contract cost reporting, ensuring all financial information is updated and tracked.
- Ensure effective records are maintained to support payment applications and claims.
Our client is looking for Managing Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors looking for a career move. They are also keen to speak with experienced Quantity Surveyors looking for career progression. You will have a minimum of 5 years commercial experience across any infrastructure sector for a main contractor, subcontractor, or regulated client. Ideally you will have experience of delivering NEC contracts, including the delivery of change management activities such as early warning notices and compensation events. Relevant quantity surveying or commercial management degree desirable.
