A leading infrastructure contractor is looking for a Buyer or Assistant Buyer to join their team in the Bristol office. The main objective of the role is to help support on major rail frameworks across the South West.
You will:
- Prepare and issue subcontract tenders and paperwork.
- Negotiate with suppliers to get the best price, quality, and delivery times.
- Process purchase requests from approved suppliers, making sure they meet budget and quality standards.
- Support meetings by preparing agendas, taking notes and sharing follow-ups, particularly for contract review meetings with suppliers.

Supporting the delivery of a £100mil + upgrade and maintenance rail projects for a high profile client. This role will be mainly subcontract procurement, ideally you will have subcontract procurement experience, however, full training will be provided if required.
Candidate Requirements
Our client is looking for an experienced Buyer and up and coming Assistant Buyers who have strong material and/or subcontract procurement experience from any reputable main contractor/large subcontractor. You will have experience of operationally managing projects across civil engineering, infrastructure or construction. Ideally you will have some experience of delivering subcontract procurement, however this is not essential and training will be provided.
