Full Time: 37.5 hours a week, Mon-Fri, core hours are 10:00 – 16:30. We would be open to discussing a 4 day working week too for the right candidate.

Contract: Fixed term, PAYE

Salary band: £49,400 to £57,200 – per annum

Start Date: 1st June 2026

End Date: 17th December 2027

Location: Bristol; hybrid working options available. Not suitable for remote workers, please do not apply unless you are happy to work in-house in Bristol a minimum of three days a week on a 4 day per week contract. We are unable to sponsor any UK Visa applications.

A Productions are looking for an experienced Line Producer to work on a very exciting children’s animation for the BBC. As the Line Producer, you will oversee all aspects of the production, ensuring that resource, budget and schedule remain on track. You will work closely with the Studio Producer to ensure that Production deliverables and milestones are clearly communicated, monitored, and met. You will need to demonstrate previous animation industry experience as a Line Producer on an animated TV series.

General Duties:

  • Resource management across all project departments, including managing internal resources, working closely with heads of department to manage staff, keeping schedules up to date and tracking crew holiday.
  • Working closely with the Head of Operations & Studio Producer to recruit crew for the project and negotiate their salaries and terms of contract in line with the best interest of the production’s schedule and budget.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to maintain a clear and detailed overview of all departmental schedules and delivery deadlines; including the setting of production priorities and defining milestones.
  • Serve as the main point of coordination and contact between the day-to-day Production team and the project’s senior management.
  • Oversee and guide the Production team and guide departmental heads/supervisors to ensure high-quality output and adherence to the schedule.
  • Generate internal weekly progress reports for Senior Management, in addition to reporting externally to collaborators and clients.
  • Management of production budget, including weekly reporting to the Studio Producer and keeping the forecast/actuals calculations consistently up to date, and ensuring that the Accounts department has accurate information on a monthly basis to enable them to successfully run payroll.
  • Communicate clearly, confidently, and efficiently with the client and contributors, including taking the lead in client-facing meetings and acting as the face of the studio.
  • Be proactive in planning and troubleshooting any issues with the pipeline for production.
  • Oversee the conclusion of production, including asset and final delivery to the client.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience of producing or assisting in producing an animated TV series.
  • Previous experience of casting and voice record management, including child licensing requirements.
  • Previous experience in recruiting crew and negotiating rates and contracts.
  • Previous experience of managing a budget, updating and reporting on cash flows.
  • Experience of working on a co-production would be a bonus.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of a 2D animation pipeline from scripts through to Post.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and methodical working methods.
  • Experience using Ftrack would be a bonus, but not essential.
