About the role:

You will be the senior creative lead behind Dove’s social output, setting the vision, raising the bar on craft, and enabling multiple studios to deliver social content that is distinctive, on-brand, and effective. Working at the intersection of brand strategy, social platforms, community culture, and production, you will turn insights and briefs into clear creative territories, repeatable formats, and standout moments that travel globally. We are looking for someone who can guide senior stakeholders with confidence, simplify complexity across markets, and build a creative system that balances global consistency with local relevance. Success means stronger social creative effectiveness, clearer ways of working across studios, and a measurable uplift in quality, speed, and brand impact.

What you will be doing:

  • Set the global creative vision for Dove Social, defining what great looks like across platforms and markets.
  • Lead creative development from global briefs through to execution, ensuring work delivers against brand objectives and platform behaviours.
  • Oversee and align multiple studios, improving consistency, creative quality, and operational rhythm across regions.
  • Create and maintain social-first toolkits, including creative principles, tone of voice, format playbooks, and templates, that enable scalable excellence.
  • Partner with strategy, account leadership, social listening, and analytics teams to turn insight into clear creative direction.
  • Guide teams to build content ecosystems across always-on, tentpoles, creator partnerships, and reactive moments, with clear roles and KPIs.
  • Provide senior-level creative approval and feedback loops, ensuring work is inclusive, culturally aware, and aligned to Dove’s brand purpose.
  • Present and sell work to senior Unilever and Dove stakeholders, earning trust through clarity, craft, and commercial understanding.
  • Coach and develop Creative Directors and wider creative teams, building capability across social storytelling, platform craft, and effectiveness.
  • Raise production standards and creative efficiency, partnering with producers and makers to deliver strong work at speed and with sustainable choices.

What you need to be great in this role:

  • A strong portfolio and track record leading social-first creative for a global brand, with work that demonstrates cultural relevance and platform-native craft.
  • Proven experience setting creative direction across multiple markets and teams, with a clear approach to balancing global consistency and local nuance.
  • Expertise across key social platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging channels, including creative best practice and formats.
  • Strong creative judgement across concept, copy, design, motion, and film, able to elevate ideas and ensure high-quality execution.
  • Experience building and leading senior creative teams, with a coaching style that develops talent and delivers outcomes.
  • Stakeholder-savvy communication skills, with confidence presenting to senior clients and guiding decision-making.
  • A working understanding of social effectiveness, including attention, retention, brand cues, and distinctiveness, and how to apply it creatively.
  • Comfort working with data, social listening, and performance insights to iterate and improve creative output.

Qualifications: Formal degrees are welcome but not required. Equivalent experience counts. Experience can be gained through work, study, volunteering, or self-directed learning.

Our values shape everything we do:

  • Be Ambitious to succeed.
  • Be Imaginative to push the boundaries of what’s possible.
  • Be Inspirational to do groundbreaking work.
  • Be always learning and listening to understand.
  • Be Results-focused to exceed expectations.
  • Be actively pro-inclusive and anti-racist across our community, clients and creations.
