Rock Drilling Operative in Belfast

Rock Drilling Operative Salary: Dependant on experience Working Hours: 40+ Rock Drilling Operative required for a long-established Contractor based in North Antrim. The successful candidate will provide blasthole drilling services to clients in various locations across Northern Ireland. The candidate will be required to transport heavy drilling rigs between locations safely and efficiently. The candidate will be a good communicator with the ability to work alone and as part of a wider team when required. The candidate will undertake health and safety checks, routine maintenance and cleaning and administration duties. Full training will be given to the successful candidate and all necessary PPE/workwear and vehicle will be provided. Responsibilities / Job Role Carry out pre-start machinery checks/report defects Daily inspection of work site safety Be able to access, interpret and understand blasthole specification details Site the machine safely and efficiently for each blasthole Operate drill rigs safely and productively Record keeping with regards drill logs, pre checks and maintenance logs Carry out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures Ensure all work is completed to appropriate level of safety and quality Cleaning and maintenance of machinery, tools and vehicles Ability to work alone on site Ability to communicate effectively with others Essential Criteria Full Drivers license Over 18 years of age Plant/Heavy machinery experience Must be willing to travel Must be flexible with working hours Basic IT skills/ability to operate hand held devices TPBN1_NI
