Home to one of the world’s largest natural deep-water harbours, A&P Falmouth’s facility is one of the largest ship-repair complexes in the UK.
We are looking for Steelworkers / Fabricators with strong craftsmanship and attention to detail to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Experience as a Steelworker/Fabricator (welder/plater) and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e. g.
MMA, MIG, TIG etc.) would be great, we can provide training for the standards we work to.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble steel components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Use metalworking machines such as hydraulic presses, rolls, shears, cutting torches, grinders and drills to bend, cut, form, punch, drill or otherwise form steel/aluminium components.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a steelworker/fabricator (welder/plater) or in a similar role, and/or familiarity with welding techniques (e. g.
MMA, MIG, TIG etc.), we can train you to get you to the standards we work to.
- You'll need the ability to understand technical drawings.
- You'll be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- You'll be absolutely committed to ensuring health and safety in your work, we all work safe and go home safe.
- You'll have excellent teamwork and communication skills, vital for success in the projects that we deliver.
