APEM’s freshwater aquatic consultancy has been established as an area of APEM's expertise for many years. Our specialists deliver cutting-edge collection, analysis, and interpretation of freshwater survey data. As a Consultant Scientist in fisheries, you will work alongside our team of cross-disciplinary experts, utilising your expertise to deliver a range of projects for UK environment/conservation agencies, the water and energy industries, and supporting services. Our team is dedicated to protecting the aquatic environment while supporting your growth and development.

To apply for this role you will need:

  • Degree level qualification in a related subject
  • Knowledge of freshwater fish science, ideally through employment or voluntary/intern opportunities
  • Ability to review and manipulate data
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Availability to carry out fieldwork at sites throughout the UK
