Our Client is a leading global consumer goods company.
The role: We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers to work out of our West Thurrock Operating Centre to support freight deliveries to customers and other company sites across the UK. You will be part of a team supporting a 24-hour operation over Monday to Friday with some weekend work. We are currently looking for 3 drivers to work day shifts. Start times are typically 01.00-03.00.
You will work on average 40 hours per week, typically 4 shifts of 10 hours a week beginning at midday with some flexibility required in shift start times.
You will be required to execute the following operation:
- Shuttling between different Distribution Centres in the UK and potentially to UK ports.
Equipment: skeleton or curtain side drop trailer.
Typical routine:
- Pick up of skeleton trailer with container, deliver to port, lift off/lift on container and deliver back to Plant.
- Delivering products to our customers within the UK.
