Our client based in West Kent are looking for an onsite full time Workshop Plant Fitter.

The Role & Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible within the workshop for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of plant machinery.
  • Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
  • Ensure all machinery meet safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Work efficiently within a busy workshop environment.
  • Liaise with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth workflow.

Previous experience

  • Plant Fitter/ Workshop Fitter or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
  • Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent preferred).
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

Initially there will be a 4-week trial period through the agency and the hourly rate is £18ph. Once full time with our client the successful candidate's salary will be between £42,000 - £44,500 (approx) based on a 45 hour working week. Our client offers overtime opportunities, training and development, pension scheme, and much more. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical ability and experience working with plant e.g., Bobcat or similar equipment.
