Our client based near Sittingbourne are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers. The role will entail:

  • Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
  • Delivering to RDCs and collections to and from farms.
  • The shifts are on average 10 to 12 hours long.
  • Some flexibility for start times as they may vary.
  • Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience).
  • Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
  • No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
  • Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
  • Good roadcraft/Geographical knowledge.

Shifts are available over a seven day period Sunday to Saturday with the following shift bands:

  • Morning start times 01.00 - 11.00 hours
  • Afternoon start times 12.00 - 18.00 hours
  • Night shift start times 19.00+ hours to midnight

Our client offers long term work and has regular full or part time hours to suit. All candidates are required to pass our clients assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (2-3-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days/nights)

Pay Rates:

  • Days - £20.50 p.h. Monday to Friday. (Includes seasonal rate uplift)
  • Nights - £21.22 p.h. Monday to Friday. (Includes seasonal rate uplift)
  • Saturday Day £20.50 p.h./ Night £21.22 p.h.
  • Sunday + Bank Holiday Day £24.21 p.h./ Nights £26.52 p.h.

New Drivers to the industry with at least 1 year Class 1 experience are welcome to apply.
