Class 1 Fresh produce drivers are required for our client based within Portsmouth.
The role will entail:
β Refrigerated distribution across a variety of locations.
β Delivering to RDCs and collections to and from farms.
β The shifts are on average 12+ hours long.
β Some flexibility for start times as they may vairy.
β Mainly a driving role with minimal handling of the load.
A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
β Full Class 1 Driving licence (minimum of 1 year Class 1 experience).
β Valid Digital Tachograph and CPC card.
β No more than 6 points or have the following endorsement codes showing (DD or DR).
β Compliant to all rules and regulations within LGV driving.
β Good roadcraft/ Geographical knowledge.
Shifts available are mainly for weekends days/ nights, however there are shifts available during the week as our client operates over a 7 day period.
Flexibility is required as shift start times may vary, and can offer full or part time hours, including fixed shifts.
Our client offers long term work all year around.
All candidates are required to pass an assessment prior to commencing which includes a written and practical driving test. (4-hour assessments are being held between Monday to Friday on days only.) The second shift will be a full training day and both are paid once 10 shifts are completed.
Pay Rates:
β Days β Β£15.17 p.h. (Monday to Friday).
β Nights β Β£16.95 p.h. (Monday to Friday).
β Saturday Day Β£16.95 p.h./ Night Β£18.74 p.h.
β Sunday + Bank Holiday Day Β£18.74 p.h./ Nights Β£19.63 p.h.
All shifts are based on a minimum of 10 hours
New Drivers with a minimum of 6 months solid Class 1 experience may be considered.
