AM Phillip Trucktech are a family business who have been trading for 70 years and are Scotland\’s leading commercial vehicle specialists.
We currently have six depots and are the sole IVECO dealer group in Scotland.
Additionally, we also represent Ford, Fiat and Maxus commercial vehicle franchises.
We are currently recruiting for a mobile Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) Technician / Mechanic for our head office in Muiryfaulds, Nr Forfar to cover Angus and Aberdeenshire.
THE ROLE
The overall purpose of the role is to carry out general maintenance and repair work on a range of light commercial vehicles to a high standard. This will be from within our franchise sectors but may also cover other makes of commercial vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge with a dynamic and rapidly growing company.
THE PERSON
Are you a car technician looking to expand your experience into the big world of Commercial vehicles or an experienced LCV Technician who\’s ready to take on the next step in their career?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working with the service team to maintain and repair customer vehicles.
- Fault-finding and diagnostics as directed.
- Maintenance of all equipment to the highest standard.
- Advising the supervisor of any improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
- Carrying out any other reasonable task which may arise.
KEY SKILLS
- A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical repair of commercial vehicles.
- Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working hours.
- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
- A current full driving Licence.
- PC skills and proficiency are preferable.
