We are seeking a diligent and motivated Valeter/HGV Driver Class 2 to join our team at our Broxburn branch. In this dual role you will clean and detail vehicles to a high standard, drive, deliver and collect vehicles for clients or within our compound, and ensure all vehicles are safe, clean, and roadworthy while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Cleaning & Detailing: Thoroughly clean, valet, and detail the interior and exterior of vehicles, including vacuuming, shampooing upholstery, and using high-pressure washers.
- Driving & Movement: Safely drive, move, and park vehicles between sites, parking bays, or to client locations.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections upon delivery and collection, recording any damage, defects, or faults on check-sheets.
- Roadworthiness Checks: Perform basic checks on vehicle condition, including oil levels, fluid levels, tire pressure, and tread depth.
- Customer Service: Greet customers, handover keys, and provide a polite, professional, and efficient service, often acting as the face of the company.
- Logistics & Admin: Complete all relevant legal paperwork accurately for vehicle movement.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures, including the safe handling of cleaning chemicals and wearing PPE.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Full, valid UK HGV Class 2 Driving Licence & Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience as a valeter, car cleaner, or professional driver is preferred.
- Ability to drive different types of vehicles, including manual and automatic.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Professional appearance and a strong work ethic, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Legal eligibility to work in the UK; sponsorships not available.
