Gammies Groundcare is currently seeking an experienced Groundcare Engineer. This role involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing a range of ground care equipment both in our fully equipped workshop in Forfar and on-site with a company van provided. You will be working in a hands-on role with big and small, battery, petrol and diesel machinery across a range of key brands such as Husqvarna, Honda, Stihl, Polaris, Trimax, Amazone and more.

Working closely with colleagues in our workshop, blacksmith and parts department to ensure timely, efficient and quality repair and maintenance of all equipment.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on commercial and domestic ground care machinery.
  • Deliver onsite service to customers, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues and communicate clearly with customers.
  • Liaise with the parts department to obtain and track relevant parts used on jobs.
  • Attend brand technical training where required.
  • Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety regulations and company standards.
  • Keep detailed and accurate service and time records of all work completed.

Requirements:

  • Previous Mechanical experience/knowledge required.
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong understanding of a mechanical environment
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.

Preferred:

  • Horticultural or Agricultural mechanical experience/knowledge.
