We're now looking for an Assistant Designer to work alongside the menswear team (focussing on multi-products) in our Manchester HQ.

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Supporting the menswear designers and senior designers to create and develop original design ideas, concepts, embroideries, fabrications and seasonal themes
  • Sourcing of relevant fabrics to meet the design requirements
  • Creating specs/tech packs for factories
  • Ensuring critical path is adhered to, and keep on top of all key dates
  • Liaising with factories and overseas offices
  • Creating relationships with buyers
  • Participating in inspiration and sourcing trips
  • Trend packs /colour inspiration
  • Supporting with team approvals and administration

About You:

  • Graduate, educated to degree level with a minimum 2.1 degree in Fashion or other related subject, or equivalent practical experience
  • 1-2 year experience in menswear multiproduct would be an advantage
  • A good understanding of Illustrator and/or Photoshop is desirable
  • Creative and trend-driven with a good eye for colour and fabric
  • Attentive to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player and able to build relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Manage challenges in a calm and positive manner
