We are a well-established, family-run transport business based in Belper, Derbyshire, seeking to appoint a professional and reliable HGV Planner / Night Office Administrator to join our transport team on a permanent night shift rota. This is a key operational role within the business and is integral to ensuring the efficient and compliant coordination of our HGV fleet during overnight operations.
The Role
- Reporting to the Transport Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning and coordinating HGV routes
- Monitoring vehicle movements and responding promptly to operational issues
- Maintaining regular communication with drivers throughout the shift
- Ensuring compliance with driver hours legislation and Working Time Directive requirements
- Updating and maintaining the transport management system
