We are currently recruiting for a Customer Service Advisor to join a busy site in Portsmouth on a temporary basis. This is a customer-focused role where you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing regular updates, answering queries and helping to ensure customers receive a smooth and professional service throughout the process. The role would suit someone who enjoys dealing with people, is confident communicating face-to-face and over the phone, and is comfortable working in a busy environment where there are multiple priorities to manage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for customers throughout the process
  • Deal with customers face-to-face, over the phone and via email
  • Provide regular updates and keep customers informed of progress
  • Answer customer queries and resolve concerns professionally
  • Manage customer expectations around timescales and appointments
  • Book jobs and appointments into the relevant systems
  • Follow up and chase outstanding information where required
  • Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly
  • Arrange vehicle collections and deliveries where required
  • Coordinate courtesy vehicles for customers when necessary
  • Assist with vehicle handovers and ensure customers receive a professional service
  • Escalate any issues or complaints appropriately

About You

We are looking for someone with strong customer service and communication skills who is confident dealing with customers face-to-face. You will ideally have experience in a customer-facing environment, such as customer service, reception, administration, automotive, hospitality, retail or a similar role. You should be:

  • Friendly, approachable and professional
  • Confident communicating with customers
  • Organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working in a busy environment
  • Proactive when it comes to chasing and following up
  • Able to remain calm when dealing with customer queries or concerns
  • A good team player with a positive attitude

Temporary Role

This is a temporary position, with an immediate start preferred. The assignment is expected to run until approximately the end of September, although the exact duration will depend on business requirements.
