I am recruiting for a well known fire protection company, looking to add to their team in the warehouse. A manual clean driving license is essential for this role.
Purpose of job: Responsible for the audit and stock count of Technicians vans and storage facilities located in different areas across the country so willingness to travel is essential.
You will also be responsible for pat testing and calibrating our technicians’ equipment, to ensure a safe working environment for the technician, and collection of waste to ensure the companies compliance with certain waste legislations.
To be responsible for the accuracy of inventory stock keeping and maintaining accurate calibration records for all technicians within your area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all stock counts on technicians are carried out at regular intervals.
- Complete audits on vehicle condition and safekeeping of stock both in the vehicle and the storage facilities.
- Be responsible for the updating and maintenance of the calibrations and Pat testing of equipment.
- Ensure all stock counts are entered onto Microsoft Dynamics Nav (NAV), submitted accurately and promptly.
- Collect certain waste materials from the technicians and/or their sites for return to HO or other main sites for onward collection.
- Liaise with technicians arranging convenient date, time and location for the stock count.
- Travel and meet within your allocated work area to provide a high level of service to our technicians.
Organise and plan route in advance (in line with technicians planning).
Plan your time effectively to optimise fuel economy and time efficiency.
- Maintain close liaison with our Warehouse Manager and Operatives.
- Make stock deliveries/collections to Technicians to enable them to work as efficiently as possible.
- Help recover vehicles, stock or waste from technicians or acquired premises.
- Keep your Outlook calendar updated with stock count dates to maintain regular counts aren’t missed.
- Have excellent liaison and communication with all departments.
- Company vehicle must be maintained within servicing schedule.
