Location: Wellingborough Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 depending on experience Hours: Monday-Friday 8am to 4.30pm A-Lift Crane Hire are pleased to announce a new and exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our well-established team of mobile crane hire specialists as a Hire Desk Controller, based in our Wellingborough office. About the role The Hire Desk Controller role offers the right candidate the opportunity to build, develop and grow their career with a highly reputable and growing company. We’d love you to join our Operations Department to coordinate crane hire, working with clients and the internal team to ensure great service, efficient use of resources, and safe, on-time lifting solutions. You will constantly look for opportunities to improve and innovate the administration process, reporting any ideas to your manager. Whilst knowledge of crane, plant and vehicle operations and/or experience within a hire desk role is welcome, don’t worry if you have no direct experience, we will teach you everything you need to know. Having the ability to work both as part of a team and also take overall responsibility for your personal workload, whilst delivering excellent levels of service is essential. A desire to put our clients’ needs first and a desire to develop your own skills is a key part of fitting into this established team. About you To be successful in this role you’ll have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, be good with the written word, be reliable and a team player and have a great telephone manner. You will need to be good at processing information/data and you must have excellent computer skills and be conversant with using all main Microsoft programmes. If you have the ability to show initiative and problem solve, this role will be ideal for you! We are looking for people with integrity, passion, and an enthusiasm to be a part of our future success. We don’t primarily care about experience or your qualifications – your attitude and core values are key. You’ll be working across a number of areas, so strong organisational skills are also a must. You’ll also have a strong team ethic and a proactive attitude. What we offer You’d be joining a welcoming, tight knit team within a highly reputable and growing company. We’re offering a competitive starting salary of £30,000 pa, depending on experience, along with 28 days annual leave (including Bank Holidays) and a contributory pension scheme plus life and accident insurance. On-site parking is provided within the depot.
