  • Monday to Friday, rotating shifts between 8:00am-4:00pm and 9:00am-5:00pm

Three Saturdays each September (with the occasional Sunday if required) to support the annual student intake.

The Role

As Deputy Student Accommodation Office Manager, you'll support the day to day management of the accommodation office, ensuring an outstanding service is delivered to students and residents throughout the accommodation cycle.

You'll oversee accommodation allocations, help maximise occupancy, coordinate student arrivals, manage communications, and ensure processes run smoothly while supporting and motivating the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day to day management of the Student Accommodation Office.
  • Deliver a professional, friendly and efficient customer experience.
  • Coordinate accommodation allocations and maintain high occupancy levels.
  • Monitor tenancy compliance and assist with rent arrears procedures.
  • Maintain accurate accommodation records, reports and performance data.
  • Update accommodation systems, room information and rental charges.
  • Manage student arrivals, registrations and welcome events.
  • Coordinate property viewings and support recruitment/open day events.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure a smooth student journey.
  • Maintain website content and student communications.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and service delivery.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and legal requirements are followed.

About You

I'm looking for someone who has

  • Previous experience in an office management, accommodation, property, or customer service environment looking for a step up.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to deal with a wide range of people.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload and work using their own initiative.
  • Experience using databases or booking systems.
  • A positive, proactive, and solution focused approach.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
  • Used to a very fast paced environment, able to keep calm under pressure, and take full responsibility when the manager is on leave
