Job Title: Social Media Executive

Location:Any Hub ( Cumbernauld, Milton Keynes, Middlebrook or London)

Contract and working pattern: 6 Months Fixed Term, 37.5 hours, Hybrid (3 days in the office)

What we’re looking for…

As a Social Media Executive at AG Barr, you will play a pivotal role in driving dynamic brand visibility and consumer engagement across AG Barr\'s iconic portfolio – including IRN-BRU, Rubicon, and Barr brands – by championing our social media presence.

An opportunity to play a leading role in developing and delivering impactful social content, ensuring a strong, results-driven online presence - you will actively contribute to content ideation, directly creating engaging content, and expertly managing external agencies and creators. A core focus is building strategic content calendars, overseeing campaign performance, and translating insights into continuous social media effectiveness, all through astute project management and stakeholder collaboration.

Your responsibilities will include...

  • Social Content; Drive content ideation and directly create engaging social content for assigned Barr channels. Manage content creators and social media agencies for engaging, natively-designed content that performs well with our audiences across AG Barr brands (IRN-BRU, Rubicon, Barr). Assist with content shoots, monitors competitor social media trends via social listening tools (e.g, Sprinklr) and incorporates trending and cultural moments for reactive content.
  • Community & Influencer Engagement: Lead community management for specific brands (Instagram, TikTok). Collaborate with brand marketing on influencer seeding activations. Support influencer and creator briefs, and evolve Tone of Voice (TOV) guides.
  • Social Performance & Reporting: Analyse social media campaign performance, collect post-campaign insights, and report on key learnings and opportunities. Assist with BTL paid social media activities to drive conversion.
  • Budget & Administrative Support: Assist with budget management and daily administrative tasks for smooth social marketing operations.

What you’ll bring...

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Marketing, Business / Management, or Digital and
  • Digital Marketing accreditations (PPC, SEO, Social) - preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Previous FMCG experience in marketing, with demonstrable social media experience, including direct content creation
  • Experience working agency-side and/or managing social media agencies and content creators
  • A self-starter mindset—able to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret trends and apply insights to social strategies
  • Exceptional organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Video Editor and Canva
  • Creative thinker with a passion for building brands and creating memorable consumer experiences!

Knowledge areas

  • Social Media Marketing: Deep understanding of various social media platforms, content strategies, and community engagement tactics relevant to FMCG brands.
  • Influencer Marketing & Creator Management: Knowledge and experience in collaborating with content creators and managing influencer seeding
