What weâre looking for...
We are looking for a driven National Account Executive to support the National Account Manager in building and driving performance within our Key Grocery (Major Multiples) accounts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the dayâtoâday commercial needs of our grocery partners, with a specific mandate to champion our Alcohol brands. You will balance the needs of the customer with overarching business objectives, ensuring our alcohol portfolio achieves optimal visibility, distribution, and sales growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial ambition to learn from a senior mentor while taking ownership of specific category initiatives.
As a National Account Executive, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Grocery Account Plans: Work closely with the National Account Manager to deliver the Joint Business Plan (JBP) for Major Multiples. You will take ownership of specific administrative and operational tasks that ensure the smooth running of these largeâscale accounts.
- Driving the Alcohol Portfolio: Act as the internal champion for the Alcohol category (specifically Funkin). You will monitor SKU performance, track distribution gaps, and work to increase the Rate of Sale for our alcohol products within the grocery aisle.
- Promotional Execution: Manage the endâtoâend promotional process for the alcohol range. This includes completing promotional nomination forms, tracking compliance inâstore, and conducting postâpromotional analysis to evaluate ROI.
- Data Analysis & Forecasting: Own the weekly and period reporting for the alcohol category. You will use retailer data (e.g., Dunnhumby, IRI) to track sales performance, identify trends, and support the NAM with accurate forecasting for the supply chain.
- CrossâFunctional Collaboration: Liaison with internal Brand, Supply Chain, and Field Sales teams to ensure that our alcohol marketing campaigns are effectively executed at store level.
- Building Buyer Relationships: Develop strong working relationships with junior buyers, supply contacts, and category planners within the retailer. You will be the first point of contact for dayâtoâday queries, helping to solve problems and maintain high service levels.
- New Business & NPD: Support the sellâin of New Product Development (NPD) within the alcohol range, preparing samples and presentation decks to showcase the value of our innovations to grocery buyers.
What youâll bring...
The successful candidate will have:
- FMCG Experience: Previous experience in an FMCG commercial or sales support role (e.g., Sales Executive, Field Sales, or Commercial Assistant). Experience dealing with Grocery Multiples is highly advantageous.
- Category Interest: A genuine interest in the Alcohol & Cocktail market. Understanding the unique dynamics of selling alcohol (vs. soft drinks) in a retail environment is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Comfort working with data. You should be able to navigate spreadsheets, analyse sales figures, and pull together clear reports on how our brands are performing.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to build relationships. You will need to communicate clearly and confidently with both internal teams and external retailer contacts.
- Ambition to Learn: A desire to grow into a National Account Manager role. You should be proactive, eager to take on responsibility, and ready to learn P&L management and highâlevel negotiation skills.
- IT Proficiency: Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential for analysing data and presenting commercial updates.
