Transport Supervisor 📍 Manchester – Trafford Park 🕗 Full-Time, Permanent | Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm 💰 £30,000 – £36,000 (DOE) A for Appointments is proud to be working with a growing, forward-thinking water cooler and coffee supplies company, based in Trafford Park, Manchester. Due to steady growth and an expanding fleet, they’re now looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to support their operations and help drive efficiency across the board. With over 40 vehicles and a commitment to excellent service, the business is going from strength to strength. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid transport experience looking to join a stable, expanding team where there is potential to grow with the company. Your Role: As the Transport Supervisor, you\’ll play a vital role in overseeing daily transport operations and ensuring the smooth running of the vehicle fleet. This includes working closely with drivers, maintaining compliance, and looking after vehicle safety and servicing schedules. Key Responsibilities: * Manage daily delivery schedules and route planning * Supervise and support a team of drivers * Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers * Monitor transport costs and help identify areas to improve profitability * Oversee the maintenance, servicing, and MOT scheduling of all vehicles * Ensure all vehicles meet legal, safety, and operational standards * Maintain accurate records of inspections, services, and vehicle documentation * Address transport-related issues or delays quickly and professionally * Liaise with customers and internal teams to keep communication clear and timely * Promote a culture of health, safety, and compliance at all times What You’ll Need: * Proven experience in a transport or logistics supervisory role * Good knowledge of transport regulations and vehicle compliance * Excellent organisational and communication skills * Ability to manage and motivate drivers in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail * Competency in using transport management systems or scheduling software What’s on Offer: * Competitive salary of £30,000 – £36,000, depending on experience * Monday to Friday only – no weekend work * Free on-site parking * Gym on site Pending * Friendly and supportive team environment * Opportunities to progress as the company continues to grow * Staff outings and a collaborative office culture If you’re a proactive and organised individual with transport experience, and you\’re looking for your next step in a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
