Salary: £23,000–£25,000
A fast-growing group of companies in Rotherham is seeking a Trainee Accounts Administrator to support its expanding finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with admin experience who is keen to build a career in finance. About the Role
Working alongside a team of four and reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a full range of finance tasks, including:
* Preparing accurate sales invoices from stock records
* Managing the sales ledger, posting receipts, and reconciling remittances
* Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintaining stock records using internal or third-party weighbridge reports
* Assisting with month-end processes (all completed within 5–6 working days)
* Supporting the introduction of new systems and processes
Who We’re Looking For
We’re open to candidates who are early in their finance careers, including those from an administrative background. Ideally, you’ll have:
* Some experience in admin or a similar office-based role
* A keen interest in developing a career in accounts/finance
* Excellent attention to detail and time-management skills
* Confidence working with numbers and basic Excel knowledge
* A proactive and enthusiastic attitude
Desirable but not essential:
* AAT qualification or currently studying
* Experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
* Previous finance or accounts experience (but not required)

* Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (fully office-based)
