Due to a leaver, we now have an immediate full-time vacancy for both a general operative and band saw operator in our Sheffield based warehouse, which is a permanent role.

Essential skills:

  • Good work ethic including attendance / health & safety / quality systems / teamwork / positive attitude / attention to detail / excellent housekeeping
  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence (certificate)

Strongly preferred skills:

  • Automated industrial bandsaw experience
  • Overhead crane licence (certificate)
  • Steel industry experience
  • Packing experience

Preferred skills:

  • Own transport
  • Multi-directional forklift truck licence (certificate)
  • Experience with Nickel grade alloys
  • Basic use of computers

Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday rotating shifts days and afters 06:00 to 14:30 Monday to Friday / 13:00 to 23:00 Monday to Thursday
  • £13.25p/h x 40 hour paid week = £530.00 p/w = £27,560.00 pa
  • Generous bonus schemes (shop floor received over £6,000 last year – and over half of that was tax free)
  • Free Employee Ownership Trust shares in the business after 6 months direct employment
  • Now 25 days annual (33 days in total) OR equivalent in hours
  • Auto-enrolment company pension scheme - employer contributes 7.5% employee 5%
  • Death in service benefit (4x salary)

  • T+1/2 for Mon to Sat overtime (double time on Sundays)
