We are currently seeking a friendly, organised Purchasing & Accounts Administrator to support the day-to-day operations of a busy office within the industrial engineering sector. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, working closely with people, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
You will play a key part in supporting office, sales, purchasing, and production processes, acting as a professional first point of contact for customers and suppliers, while working as part of a small, tight-knit team.
Key Responsibilities- Answer incoming telephone calls in a professional and welcoming manner
- Respond to customer and supplier enquiries via phone and email
- Assist with purchasing administration, including:
- Sourcing parts and suppliers
- Raising and following up purchase orders
- Matching purchase orders to invoices
- Chasing suppliers to ensure timely delivery
- Experience in purchasing and accounts administration
- High attention to detail and accuracy in matching purchase orders, invoices, and statements
- Organised, proactive, and able to multitask in a busy office environment
- Confident and personable communicator, able to liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with Xero or other accounting software is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team environment and contribute positively to the team culture
- Previous office administration experience within a technical or industrial setting is preferred
- Monday β Thursday: 8:30am β 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:30am β 3:00pm
